Animal Description:

Bel Canto Farm is proud to introduce you to the very impressive, ¾ Peruvian, ‘Tuscan Sun’.  Sired by AML Legacy’s El Duro, Sunny’s genetic lineage is one of the country’s most influential.  Adding more power to this male is his dam’s sire Peruvian Pizarro and grandsire NWA, Ltd Senator Taft.

Sunny was born with luxurious soft fleece and lovely handle that he continues to carry to this day.  The density, brightness, fineness and uniformity that Sunny is holding on to into his breeding years is amazing.  His fleece feels just about as soft now as it did his first year and looking at his fiber statistics you will know why.  Very little change has occurred in his fleece over time.  He is a tribute to his sire AML Legacy’s El Duro, who maintained his fineness over the years as well.

A very well built young sire.  Sunny is the description of the word ‘Macho’.  It is obvious to the eye that he boasts very square conformation, nice broad chest, and straight lines.  You can’t miss that awesome head of his with his knock-out top knot and typey good looks.

Sunny is a Reserve Champion, and multiple blue ribbon winner.  He recently was awarded another Blue Ribbon at age 27.5 months, attesting to his strong conformation and ability to hold his fleece quality over time.  Sunny also received a second place at the 2009 AOBA Nationals as a yearling in the composite class.

His genetic strengths can not be denied, and across the country the impact of his recently deceased grandsire ‘Legacy’ can be seen.  Tuscan Sun’s father, AML Legacy’s El Duro was an amazing Multi-Champion, consistently producing exceptional offspring.  El Duro’s passing at the early age of six left behind only a few males to carry on his own legacy and Sunny is one of those fine young studs ready to do the job.  Morning Glory, his dam, has produced exceptional offspring as well and has recently earned a Blue Ribbon and two seconds in ‘Produce of Dam’ classes at large shows, of which Sunny was one of those representing her.  She delivers offspring with an abundance of fleece and superior coverage.  All her offspring have won top ribbons at level 5 shows, including the Futurity and Nationals and two offspring are Champions.

Strong phenotype, genotype, show records, breeding records, and fleece statistics stand behind Tuscan Sun.  He is a male worthy of his role at Bel Canto Farm.
