Animal Description:
NEWS UPDATE! Sinbad's 3rd Year Fleece took a Blue Ribbon at the Empire Fleece Event, only .5 points behind the Award for Highest Points for Dark (won by a juvi). Sinbad's fleece is exactly what we want for processing; uniformity. SEE HIS SCORE SHEET IN IMAGES.
TRUE BLACK with CHAMPION GREY GENETICS. Sinbad has everything a breeder is looking for in their colored breeding program. An elite alpaca package in luxurious true black color with strong championship gray genetics. Sinbad earned a Blue Ribbon at the 2007 Empire Fiber Symposium for his fleece, a Blue Ribbon at the 2006 Empire Extravaganza and he placed 2nd at THE FUTURITY in 2006 behind the Reserve Champion. His dam is our leading foundation female Hootalinqua from the Patagonia herd and his sire is none other than Gray Multi-Champion, AABC Navigator. Sinbad's fiber has phenomenal characteristics; wonderful handle, popcorn bundling from his head to his knees, amazing crimp, and density. Uniformity is a key to processing fleece and a quality we are all striving to attain. Sinbad is your boy for unbelievable uniformity over his entire fleece. Sinbad's head and conformation are beautiful and when he steps in the ring, the judges take notice. We are very excited to have Sinbad in our Herdsire Row and look forward to him leading the way in our colored breeding program. Sinbad's first cria are beautiful. See Sweet Tupelo Honey for an example of the quality he is throwing.
