Bel Canto Farm is dedicated to preserving and promoting the Kunekune pig in North America. After discovering this adorable, friendly little pig we decided that they would be a nice fit in our plans to create a more sustainable life on our farm. The pigs live peacefully with our alpaca and other animals, are easy on the pasture, graze on weeds and grasses and best of all, love human companionship.
We have purchased a beautiful young boar and gilt for our breeding program. Both are exemplary examples of the Kunekune breed standards in confirmation and personality. Bel Canto will continue to strive for continued improvement in the North American herd and seek out new genetic lines that enhance each generation.

Our ginger and black Tonganui boar, Babe, is such a handsome pig. He will be mated with our lovely cream colored Rona sow, Lola Frances in spring 2012. We are expecting to see some amazing little piglets out of this couple.
